barb
As an american youth growing up in suburban hell, Barb found solace in crunchy metal riffs played primarily by men with way too much (and badly teased) hair. However, she knew in her heart that gender was no barrier to her someday becoming Tommy Lee.

Finally, after years of dedicated air drumming, Barb acquired a drum kit in November of 2001. A few short months (and many angered neighbors) later, a phone call from Ruby led to the fulfillment of her dream to play drums in an all-female rock band. These days she would rather turn out to be more like Neil Peart than Tommy Lee, but she's stuck with the tattoos.

Outside of The Witching, she has drummed with singer/songwriter Tamara J. Brown. She used to play guitar in the all-female punk quintet Tankini, but decided the problem with stringed instruments is that you can't just haul off and hit them as hard as you can and expect them to work during the next gig. Barb's other main musical project involves drinking lots of coffee and wiredly crafting beats and sounds on her computer into the wee hours as alter-ego doctor paradox. the good doctor's first album, Frame Independent, was realeased in April of 2004.

Barb owns and operates her own web development and consulting company, Live Mind Design, and record label, All Night Records. In her spare time she imagines what life would be like if she had spare time. She's a Virgo, loves long walks on the beach, and enjoys writing about herself in the third person.
